Spain’s Odd Definition of “Human”
‘Human’ rights:
There is a new voting block in Spain that Politicians are eager to pander to. Yes, it seems that every Spanish politician is out of the “Ape Vote.” No, they don’t currently have the right to vote, but it may be on its way with Spanish Parliament approving “human rights” for Apes. Have we learned nothing about the consequences of this type of legislation?
I understand the thought behind the Great Apes Project to keep these primates from being tortured, harassed, or experimented on. I mean, we all saw 28 Days Later and I am sure we are all aware of the potential zombie outbreak that may occur if we do not regulate or abolish experimentation of Apes. It makes sense to prevent humans from taking advantage of Apes, but granted Apes, “human rights” is over the top.
Because an animal displays love, fear, anxiety and jealousy, does not mean that they ought to be protected by the same rights as humans. They are not the same and it does not make sense to apply the same standard to them. Will they vote next? Be free to bear arms? Drink from the same water faucet as you and I? Maybe Spain will have the first Gorilla Bureaucrat?
To further emphasize my point, I have to ask, would an Ape do the same for you Spanish Parliament? Would they try to ensure you had rights? Or is it possible they would hide treasure from you, and violently attack you for coming into their territory? Maybe this will help remind you of where we stand in their eyes:
“Where you are the Endangered Species.” Think about it.
