The Distribution of Wealth

July 03, 2008 By: Collin Williams Category: Economy No Comments →

Second Stimulus:

By now most of you American citizens have received and spent your stimulus checks without giving much thought to why you deserved it in the first place or what it did to help the economy. The odds are that you spent it on paying down one of your 3 credit card balances, as the majority of Americans are in debt. Most of you have not considered the implications of flagrant wealth distribution, where they are essentially saying, “We will take the profit of one man’s productive achievements at the point of a gun and we will give it to anyone we want.”

Typically the government will take that money they steal and spend approximately 65%+ on the military, arguably protecting US citizens. Although a good portion of that is our occupation of countries around the world. Rebuilding places we’ve bombed, training foreign troops, even that wall in California to stop Mexicans from crossing illegally is in our military spending budget. They call it the “Department of Defense” but I sure see us taking initiative in many of these wars we fight. Its not that I am even anti-war; I love throwing out bad governments as much as the next guy. What upsets me is the philosophy that Iraqis cannot govern themselves and need us to fund and babysit them.

The other ~35% is all that other stuff. F.E.M.A. who typically goes into a disaster zone and makes things a little worse. That secret government that can suspend the constitution at will. The Army Corps of Engineers and their complete failure with the levee system (as seen in New Orleans and Iowa). If these guys were half as good at construction waterways as they are at extortion, we’d never seen another flood in this country, ever. The Department of Homeland Security which has the power to pop into your home without a warrant and go looking through your things. Yay Patriot Act. The Department of Education, with the bloated budget for the “No Child Left Behind” program. You’re against that?! You want to leave children behind!?! Blah! I hate those humanitarian sounding names for disastrous, expensive, counterproductive programs. NASA too! Is it me, or are they actually doing a fairly good job? I am always seeing new Mars pictures, new Hubble photos, and hearing about space progress on a limited budget. The IRS, so they can call your house and harass your family. I always hear stories about IRS Agents threatening children with, “If your Dad doesn’t pay we are going to take you away from your family.”

So we are taxed about 40% to reach the level of spending that supports all these (mostly) useless organizations that are grossly incompetent and superfluous. For every Billion dollars of the US budget (the 1100 Billion US budget) each of us pays about $4 (making up about $550 Million). If you paid more than about $450 in taxes last year you are covering someone else’s share too (of the FEDERAL budget, I am not going to even mention the state budgets). In addition to that, every employer pays $1 ($150 Mil). Every Corporation pays $20 ($110Mil). About $40 Million is collected in estate, gift, excise, luxury and other taxes. The rest is borrowed (meaning the government is borrowing it in your name. You are the one who has to pay that back). What most of us US Citizens don’t realize is the Government has no money. They don’t make money or provide value that they get paid for to cover the debts they incur. They take your money for that. They borrow planning on taking future money from you as well. Creating all these new laws and occupying developing nations is expensive work!

The sad part is, you cannot opt out. You’re stuck paying for wars, levees that don’t work, asbestos ridden FEMA trailers, Dick Cheney’s Salary, and Public school teachers on paid leave (after having sexual relations with students)! Any time one of those illegal Mexican immigrants (driving drunk) sends another uninsured person to the hospital its up to you to pay that bill. So why are you, the tax payer, not more upset about this? They’ve got you fooled a bit though. Ask anyone you know how much money they make, and they will probably tell you what their take-home pay is. They are so used to having their money stolen before they even see it, that they don’t even know what they earn anymore. If you have $300 taken out of each paycheck, the government is still taking $7200 from you every year. They just don’t send you the bill all at once… because if they did, people would be more upset. And by the way, $7200 is getting off easy! As you earn more, they steal more. If you’re single and make $6,000/month, at the end of the year the government wants $24,000. Which takes you 4 months of 8 hour work days at the job you got educated for and work hard at to pay off (assuming you have no other bills).

I hope you’re getting your moneys worth. This was going to be able the 2nd stimulus that Democrats in Congress are thinking about. They are trying to figure out how you can save all those people who bought houses they couldn’t afford. Punishing you to benefit them. But I am too upset to write about that. What happened to our great nation? I know there is a lot of wealth envy out there (that is media and politician induced by the way, so if you hate rich people because they’re rich then you are a sheep), but I don’t envy them at all. That poor top 1% is paying a huge sum of money to the people that are forcing them (with threat of imprisonment) to keep paying. They are paying for their own economic slavery, just like you and I… only more so.

Peak Oil is a Myth

June 18, 2008 By: Collin Williams Category: Economy 12 Comments →

All about oil:

Lindsay Williams, Author of “The Energy Non-Crisis” gives a great speech (That is ~75 minutes long) on the current oil crisis. This is part 1 of 8. The other 7 parts are easy enough to find on youtube under “Energy Non Crisis” if you’re interested. If you watch nothing else, listen to what he has to say in the 1st three minutes. The rest of the video substantiates what he says in his opener.

This is not new information, but it may be new to you. It’s not exactly something you’ll see on TV or hear one of our Presidential candidates discussing. We are bound by our own ignorance here. I see little newspaper cartoons of pipelines leaking oil over a myriad of Alaskan wildlife while Mr. Oil Executive is tallying his profits… and I can just see you environmentalists getting angry for the sake of the animal. Never mind the absurdity of a business running a pipeline that leaks would not be profitable nor would they be allowed to be in business very long.

Never mind that the Caribou migrate along the pipeline because it a little warmer along there and a safer migratory route. Never mind there is enough oil in Alaska alone (In the area we specifically set aside to drill) than in all Saudi Arabia. Never mind there is enough natural gas up there to fuel the US for hundreds of years. Nope! They hate Capitalism and so they are going to be irrationally angry.

Quit listening to politicians or TV to get your information, get educated before you get angry about something.

Obama Racing to Lock in the Stupid Vote

June 13, 2008 By: Collin Williams Category: Economy 8 Comments →

Oil and Obama:

“I am absolutely certain that generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick. This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.” These are the words of Senator Obama on the night he received the Democratic nomination. The sheer arrogance of this statement is staggering. It also marks the point where the stupid masses gathered together to deliver the final blow to freedom and achievement.

Obama’s proposed tax strategy is evident in all of his speeches when he says, “Its time for the rich to pay their fair share,” or “I’ll make oil companies like Exxon pay a tax on their windfall profits, and we’ll use the money to help families pay for their skyrocketing energy costs and other bills.” This is sheer pandering to ignorance through the “wealth envy” mechanism that so many of the poorer voters seemed to share. There are several key issues that these ignorant voters do not understand and it is pretty clear that either Obama does not understand them either, or is intentionally ignoring them.

1st Key Issue: Gas prices have been artificially low for a long time. Moreover, relative to the median income, gas prices have actually come down since 1980, even if you consider the current cost of gas. Which means that “working class America” is actually paying less per gallon relative to their inflated incomes. The emotional response to gas prices is founded in ignorance, and is misplaced.

2nd Key Issue: Approximately 1.5% of oil company stock is owned by key executives and insiders. The other 98.5% is owned by primarily by the middle class through investment vehicles like mutual funds, pension funds and individual retirement accounts. This information is according to Robert J. Shapiro who was Bill Clinton’s undersecretary of commerce for economic affairs. Many of these retirement plans are also invested in the S&P 500, which has many oil related components. So when Obama says he plans to tax those profits, he is effectively taxing the retirement plans of the average citizen.

3rd Key Issue: Though the Government hides the fact, it is “profiting” nearly twice as much as the oil company on each gallon sold. The tax to profit ratio is about 2:1 (and fluctuates year to year), so pretending to be outraged at “big oil” makes these politicians out to be presumptuous pricks! For instance, in 1998 Oil Company profit was about $9 Billion; in the same year, through state and federal taxes, the Government managed to net $60.3 Billion. In the last 30 years, only 3 years (in the early 80s) had a ratio favorable to the oil company. Before and since then, the Government has made a total of a little more than twice as much (Info & Graph from The Tax Foundation).

4th Key Issue: (Directly from the mind of Orville Wyatt) To Exxon taxes are expenses just like pencils and advertisements; all a windfall tax does is raise the price of the product; any taxation imposed on them is paid (plus a proportionate bit of profit on the increased cost) by the consumer. Now, Senator Obama is naive, not stupid. He knows this to be the case and proposes it anyways. He is actively working to take money from oil consumers and give it to the feds (and the oil execs) under the guise of punishing the rich.

5th Key Issue: While it is true that the oil companies have had record profits to the tune of a 63% increase in recent times, their profit margins are actually down a bit from previous years. The average oil company profit margin for the S&P 500 is 8.5% and holds fairly steady. What that means is that their earnings vs. cost of doing business have stayed the same. Market forces have driven the price up (taxes, war, and supply/demand). Info by CNN.

It is becoming apparent that the Democrat Platform has become about deceiving the people who are uneducated on profit margins, retirement plans, corporate structure of a public company, taxation and economics (A pretty good list of the kinds of things you won’t learn in a public school). When Obama uses the term “Windfall Profit Tax” he is using it as a buzz word, banking on your complete ignorance of the subject in an attempt to stir the wealth envy emotional response; It is part of their strategy.

Imagine for a second if Maxine Waters got her way and nationalized the Oil Industry. What do you think would happen? They are already taking almost twice as much as the Oil Company stock holders. Do you think that will make them more responsible or less responsible? Do you think Gas Prices will increase or decrease with an ignorant politician running the company? I foresee a future of gas rationing and $10/Gallon. Government has proven time and time again that they are incapable of managing money, protecting the interests of the citizens, or acting with integrity. Yet you are constantly voting in this “lesser of two evils” mindset, and when you do that you get what you deserve. 40% Economic Enslavement, $4.50/Gallon of Gas, and new regulations every single day. Welcome to the America that you have created.

Just don’t expect us, who love freedom, to thank you any time soon. We reject the Wind Fall Tax, Obama, and deception schemes.

Philosophy of Stupidity

May 25, 2008 By: Collin Williams Category: Corrupt Government, Economy, Philosophy & Religion No Comments →

Communist are so stupid:

Members of the Communist Party in Russia are outraged over the new Indiana Jones movie and are calling for it to be banned in Russia because of it’s anti-communism message. St Petersburg Communist Party chief Sergei Malinkovich said, “It’s rubbish … In 1957 the communists did not run with crystal skulls throughout the U.S. Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?” They refer to the movie as “Ideological sabotage” to the beliefs of young Communists, and they know a thing or two about indoctrination.

It is almost unbelievable how stupid the Communist Party leadership is. Yes, Hollywood is making secret anti-communist propaganda to indoctrinate your youth on how bad communism is. You’ve discovered us! Viktor Perov, a Communist Party member tried to play the guilt card, “What galls is how together with America we defeated Hitler, and how we sympathized when Bin Laden hit them. But they go ahead and scare kids with Communists. These people have no shame.” Oh thanks for doing us that favor with Hitler, Mr. Perov. In Russian War museums it is generally taught that Russia defeated Japan and Germany in WW2 on their own. Funny that you only admit US involvement when it suits you. But this is no Communist accepting Japan’s surrender:

Finally we have conspiracy theory from another member, Andrei Gindos, “Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett (are) second-rate actors, serving as the running dogs of the CIA. We need to deprive these people of the right of entering the country.” I don’t even know how to respond to this… these people are so dumb, I cannot believe it.

Evil Liberalism:

The House of Representatives least intelligent member; California’s own, Maxine Waters threatens to Nationalize the Oil Industry if Shell Oil doesn’t promise lower prices at the pump.

So that’s it then? If a company charges too much in the opinion of the government, the government will step in and take over their company? The Shell executives get it right when they suggest that they’ve seen this before, in Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. What right do they have to use the police power of government to take over a company? If you think prices are high now, just wait until the government gets their hands on it. Government is the worst spender ever. They’ve destroyed the value of our currency, they’ve trampled our rights and freedom in the name of security, they steal our money, they bend to the will of environmental nut-jobs and they think they can successfully run the Oil Industry? Fat chance of that!

Maxine Waters, there is a reason people call you the dumbest member of congress; Because you are.
